a tyre blew out as we enter the Serengeti Resever at 6pm, just as it was starting to get dark and the animals were coming out to feed !

we encountered many strange animals attemping to cross the dirt track roads
after we finally got out of the Serengeti, (after going down the same road 5 times!!), we stopped at the first campsite, and got down to some serious eating... whilst trying to dodge the numerous insects and ants all as hungry as we were.
the truck didnt seem to like hills, so we had to get out and walk (mostly up hills)
some of the hotels said they didnt have room for all of us...
The Menengai Crater, famous for tourists visiting it and buying lots of `soap stone` carvings.

Near the end of the 2 week tour we camped by a Hippo lake,
..... also close to `Hells Gate` national park, where we got on some rickety old bikes..
South of Mombasa at Tiwi Beach. Definately the best part of the holiday.
